The Nike Air Jordan 8 Retro DB 'Doernbecher' was released as part of the Nike x Doernbecher 2014 Freestyle Collection. Created by Cayden Lampert, who battles the life-threatening autoimmune disease known as Guillain-Barré Syndrome, the vibrant sneaker features a Hyper Blue upper with speckles of Electro Orange, Tour Yellow and Black accents. Released in November 2014 at the Portland Art Museum, the sneakers also feature plenty of personal touches. Basketball enthusiast Caden wears the #14 jersey with a cross strap and a cobra design on the right tongue. It also features a glow-in-the-dark fingerprint and inspirational phrases "Hang Loose," "Rock On," and "Brave."
