Air Jordan 9 Retro DB Doernbecher GS Sneakers White/Metallic Gold-Black 178642 Children's sportswear and shoes
Categories:Children's sportswear and shoes/Sneakers for children and teenagers
Description
Created for the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, these sneakers are part of Nike's "freestyle" campaign has been running since 2004. Each year, the company selects a select number of children to create their own pair of sneakers. This particular release of the Jordan 9 was designed by Osvaldo Jimenez, an 11-year-old boy, and includes Osvaldo's personal details: a feather pattern on the insole and tongue - a reference to his family nickname "Pollito" or " little chicken" and pops of green on the translucent outsole - a nod to the young designer's hometown in Mexico.
