The Jordan Series.01 "Anthracite" pays tribute to the young MJ, whose competitive edge was forged at an early age with the help of his older brother Larry. The monochrome leather and suede upper takes inspiration from Michael's "Black Cat" look. The top tongue reads "Dear Mike" on a Jumpman logo tag, while the left insole features a graphic that reads "Swing for the Fences." Underfoot, the white rubber outsole is branded "45/2" as a nod to Jordan's jersey number. The athlete chose 23 because he believed that if he was half as good as Larry, who had 45, he would be on his way to success.
