In the mid-1960s, running shoes were limited and "training" shoes did not exist. There were spikes for training and competition, but no shoes for warming up or light running. Athletes needed shoes that they could use for daily training, so Karhu developed the Trampas. The Karhu Trampas Dawn Blue colorway is made of gray suede with a white Mestari logo, which means "Champion" in Finnish.
