The Nike SB Blazer Low x Michael Lau "Salvator Michael" was released in 2019 in collaboration with artist Michael Lau. The initial release was timed to coincide with the artist's exhibition "COLLECT THEM ALL!" The sneakers are inspired by characters from Michael Lau's work and combine with the iconic low-top Blazer silhouette. The top is made of canvas, a textile commonly used in painting and often Lau's preferred surface. The canvas is cut into different pieces and pieced together to create a unique shoe with a collage feel. The shoe sits atop a white midsole and features an industrial-inspired outsole. Lau included art world details such as an auction house-inspired lot card design on the right heel tab, as well as a custom wooden shoe box with Nike branding.
