In the mountaineering-inspired Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier 'Charcoal' capsule collection, Teddy Santis modeled the hiking shoes worn by Lou Whittaker when he conquered Everest in 1982. Featuring a navy blue Cordura upper with gray suede overlays and a waterproof Gore-Tex lining, the boot is secured with a D-ring lacing system. The tongue features a double leather tag and the Flying NB logo is embossed on the saddle. The laces are complemented by a black EVA midsole and Vibram outsole.
