The Kyrie 5 "Chinese New Year" colorway released in early 2019 as part of Nike's larger collection to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Pig. The fifth Kyrie Irving comes dressed in a black Engineered Mesh that features a Chinese patchwork pattern known as Bai Jia Yi. The larger collection's color palette is featured on the shoe's unique rubber outsole, which partially covers the Air Zoom turbo unit in the midsole.
