Created for kids, the Nike Kyrie 7 GS "Roswell Rayguns" is inspired by the fictional ABA team of the same name, originally featured in a series of Nike Basketball television commercials that aired in 2002. The team's signature shades are used in Kyrie Irving's commercials. The seventh signature shoe is highlighted by a layered mesh upper in black and orange. The University Gold synthetic leather heel overlay features embroidered Rayguns graphics, a design detail first seen on the 2005 Nike SB Dunk "Raygun" and repeated on the special edition Kyrie 3.
