Throughout the 80s and 90s, Nike repeatedly tried to find designs that provided maximum energy return. In 2000, their work paid off with Nike Shox technology, which placed foam between two plates to provide bounce with every step. Launching in 2019, the Shox TL Sunrise Gradient continues the heritage with a Shox outsole that sets the foundation for the silhouette. Twelve Pebax plates make up the outsole with a mesh upper topped by a durable webbed overlay, all dressed in Black/Black-Amarillo/University-Red.
